Is the word "Negro" on the new 2010 Census form offensive?  Yes/No

Welcome to Colours of Living

We are eager to bring together communities and neighborhoods in discussing what is important to our lives. We ask the questions that others are afraid to ask and talk to others about what is needed as it relates to what matters most about marginalization of  others.  We do not require that you belong to any affiliation, religious group  or possess any  community memberships to join our efforts of dismantling any form of marginalization. What we do ask is that you support our efforts  through regular participation in discussions.

We are a member of the  Chamber of Commerce in Meriden, Connecticut and work closely in bringing about equality to all.   Colours of Living is unique in helping to create conditions that encourage participants to engage in deeper conversations about assumptions and values around race/racism and class.

Let us help ourselves  by finding better ways to live with each other thereby helping our neighbors and communities.

Here we are!

"Tomorrow I'll be at the table when company comes. Nobody'll dare say to me, 'Eat in the kitchen,' Then, besides, They'll see how beautiful I am and be ashamed — I, too, am America."

At this time in our history, the unbelievable has become the believable and may we lovingly endure this time of change.

We would like to share an editorial from Bob Ray Sanders:

A day I never thought I would see
